Built with X-PAC® X42 — a high-performance laminate developed from advanced sailcloth technology. Born from materials engineered to perform in demanding marine environments, X-PAC applies the same principles of strength, low weight, stability and protection from the elements to everyday carry.
X42 is built around a tough 420-denier nylon face, reinforced with X-PAC’s distinctive X-PLY® fibre grid and bonded to a waterproof film backing. The result is a material that is highly durable, abrasion resistant, lightweight for its strength and built to handle wet conditions.
That visible X-pattern isn’t just for looks. The X-PLY® reinforcement helps add structure, control stretch and reinforce the fabric under load.

I bought this to replace my kit bag toolbag after two failures: a cheap one that developed holes within two years, and a heavier "sturdy" one that was, well, heavy and couldn't stay organized or upright. When KNKG released the updated CORE PRO, I decided to trial the Mini.
Two months in, I'm impressed. The form factor is stable even in a moving fire engine; no tipping, no sliding. Organization is excellent, especially with the dividers. I am able to fit my utility and spare structural gloves, hood, high-vis vest, two (2) large pstring clamps, a 3M respirator with spare filters, a Vanquest PPM-Slim 2.0 holding a Leatherman multitool, magic marker, lighter, fasteners and other knick-knacks, a Thyrm CellVault for batteries, a GORUCK GR1 Field Pocket holding a headlamp, a spare Streamlight ProTac 2L flashlight, a MagSafe power bank with cable, all with room to spare.
The standout feature for me is the patch panel. It holds my helmet identifiers and personnel accountability tags secured but visible and accessible; almost like it was sized specifically for helmet identifiers.
My one real critique: the handles. They're about an inch too short, which makes the snap closures fiddly and lets the wrap work itself loose, especially when something's hanging off the straps (I run ear muffs off mine). I'd also like to reinforce the bottom with an abrasion-resistant material, since our apparatus cab surfaces are rough. This is an unknown for now, not a knock against the bag.

You can tell immediately that this bag is built to handle heavy use. Every part of it feels durable and well-engineered. The shoe compartment and water bottle holders are super convenient and well-placed.
