I loved my old gym duffel the way you love a golden retriever that sheds everywhere and knocks over lamps — deeply, unconditionally, and at growing cost to my shoulder. This bag holds my size 12s in their own sealed shoe dungeon, a full change of clothes, and my lifting belt clipped smugly outside like it’s showing off. It’s organized, handsome, and aging like it’s trying to win a rugged-but-emotionally-available contest. Same, bag. Same.

The outer shell is made using premium waxed canvas from Halley Stevensons, specialists in waxed and weather-resistant fabrics based at Baltic Works in Dundee, Scotland. The cotton canvas is treated with wax to create a durable, water-resistant surface designed to handle changing weather, daily commutes and regular trips to the gym.
Unlike synthetic materials that are designed to remain visually unchanged, waxed canvas develops more character with use. Creases, marks and variations gradually form a distinctive patina, meaning every backpack ages differently. It is a material that looks better the more you put it to work.
