I was lucky enough to be one of the first to test this out, and it’s been in constant rotation ever since. The waxed canvas is the standout. It feels tough straight away, but not in a stiff way, more like something that’s built to take a beating and actually look better for it. After a bit of use, it’s already starting to pick up some character, which is exactly what you want from this kind of material.
What I like most is how easy it is to use. The main compartment is open and accessible, so you’re not fighting the bag to pack it. It fits everything I need for the gym, but I’ve also used it for a couple of overnight trips and it works just as well there.
It doesn’t feel overly “gym bag” either. Clean enough to carry around day-to-day without looking out of place, which is rare for a duffel this functional.
Build quality is solid across the board; stitching, base, handles- all feels like it’s made to last. You can load it up without worrying about it.
If anything, the canvas is a bit firm at the start, but that’s part of the appeal. You can tell it’s going to soften and develop a proper patina over time.
Overall, it’s one of those bags you end up reaching for without thinking. Gym, short trips, daily use, it just works!
